The Melrose Park Chamber of Commerce and Community Development proudly hosted its annual Legislative Breakfast on Friday, June 28, 2024, featuring distinguished panelists Illinois Senate President Don Harmon and Speaker of the House Chris Welch. The event brought together a remarkable assembly of elected officials from various levels of government, including State, Municipalities, County, School Boards, Townships, and Park Districts, to discuss critical legislative issues affecting local businesses and community organizations.
With over 230 registrants and representation from nearly 100 different businesses and organizations, this year’s Legislative Breakfast marked the largest attendance in chamber’s history. Attendees engaged in vibrant discussions and extensive networking, creating a dynamic forum for collaboration and growth.
Mayor Ron Serpico expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Today’s annual legislative breakfast showcases the strength and unity of our community. It’s an invaluable opportunity to address the legislative challenges we face and work together towards solutions that benefit everyone.”
